Best I have ever seen were those from East Germany, they were around during the 80s, I have not seen any since.

I favor Romanian, parts are cheap, available everywhere, & with a little love they perform well. Out of the 8 AK'S I own, 7 are Romanian. The red headed step-child is Bulgarion. I love that one too. I don't care where they come from, they are cool.

Hey Jack,

You're right, I really like this one. It's a 5.45 critter with black furniture, 74 brake, & an aimpoint optic. This little sucker is dead on at 150 yards, no recoil, & no failures. I'll email you a pic of it & the now modified sar2 I got from you awhile back. Keep on bikin' & gunnin'.

Ron, check out the Century Arms site. The have WASRs for sale. I am thinking about getting two of the WASR 3s, one to keep as is and the other to make a folder for after the ban sunsets. It will be great shooting the same caliber that my AR shoots. How have you been, hows business? I saw the new springer, boy it looks like something right out of the 40s, its a beauty!!. Thats all I need four Harleys!!! Jack

Jack,
I have seen the ad on these offerings. I too will have to try them out. I've never bought a wasr, so it's time, .223 that is. Let me know if you got the pics I emailed, if not I'll resend. Business is off the wall!! Yeah, that springer is hot!

Regards

AKs and Harleys are my thing too. I have a Sportster and one day I will have a Roadking. I have 2 little girls that need more than dad needs a Bigger bike. :thumbup1:

My favorite is an inherited Polytech milled AK47/S. The metal and wood finish is spectacular.

Second, a Polytech AKS-223 in .223 with an attached bayonet.

Next in order the Polish PKMKS underfolder

The AMD-63 and the AMD-65 from Lois.

Lastly one of the Romanian underfolders from I/O.

Well, really, the last one but still respectable is the SAR-1 (a 2000 model). It was my first intro to the AK.
