I have a friend that does type 3 anodizing..... try sourcing out to someone local that will do it while you watch!
Finishing and AR receiver
I just finished machining some 80% lowers I got in a group buy. But, PARKERIZING won't work with these. What is a good way to put a finish on these other than just spray painting them with CAMO PAINT?

anodizing is the way to go- even if you paint, anodize, then paint before sealing- will give pores for the paint to adhere to...
but anodizing creates a MUCH harder surface for wear resistance... type 2 will suffice for a lower, but type 3 is thicker & harder
