Who makes the best G3 clone? I want one but have to save my money. While I am saving I want to learn about them. I have ruled out a Cetme. I just don't want to get a turd like I am hearing about.

JLD is the one I am leaning towards. I have not seen one up and close bit it looks nice and well built from the pictures I have seen.

I would like a shooter but don't ever care to mount a scope on it.

Were is a good source for real H&K G3/91 mags?

I may sell one of my Russian SKSs to help pay for it sooner. :thankyou:

just an opinion and a short story.
I got a cetme and it went back to century 4 or 5 times, before they totaly screwed it up. It would honestly fold a 308 case over in the breach before chambering. misaligned pos. finaly they sent me another one and it is great it has NEVER missed a beat. it is one of my favorites. it is very rugid.
dont get me wrong I am not selling anything , but the first batch was poor at best but they changed theyr assembaly method and they are a lot better.

There are some good receivers out there now that are stamped in Portugal and welded here in the U.S. and count as a U.S. part. Watch out for the Hesse receivers although I have one that is fine they are a crap shoot. Here is a great link on what to look for when buying one, and although it is about CETMEs 90% applies to H&Ks.

I have been looking and Ohio Rapid Fire is looking like the best one so far. They use a JLD reciever with HK parts.

Definately ORF.. I just mailed my G3 to them for a FREE flash hider install.. Whoopie, now my gun will be more EVIL!! Mwaahahaaa!!!

I have a "G3" with a Century receiver. Is there a big difference or any at all between a clone and a real deal HK? Thanks

I've heard bad things about the Century ones not feeding and mag well issues.

I think that may be accurate. The last round out of the mag would always jam. But I bought some new mags and just have to find the time now to go shoot. My barrel gets really hot too after about 40rds too. Do they make solid front grips for 91's like they do for MP5's?

FYI, ORF has recently acquired a set of original HK dies for stamping out G-3 recievers. Production should start soon and complete rifles should be available. Contact them for dates and details. :thumbup1:

Both are CIA and both are FLAWLESS, and accurate.

I just recieved my German made H&K G-3 kit from Interordinance(http://www.interordnance.com/Mercha...re_Code=INTERORDNANCE.com&Product_Code=G38000) and it is in excellent condition. Now I want to get either one of the JDL or the new ORF recievers to build it on.

Did you check your kit to see if the magazine release parts were there? I got mine only to find out the mag rel parts were AWOL. Seems to be common to the IO kits.
