Should serve them well, especially after the melting G36. It was the G36 that had issues with heat and melting trunnions, right?

The trunnion was metal, but when they are encased in a plastic receiver they tend to get loose when hot. Apparently accuracy went to hell after several mags were rapid fired, which as we all know would never happen in an actual combat situation! HK's defense was the requirements the German military requested were met, they just weren't exceeded and it was not their fault if the military standards were so low...

What's so ironic is you have the "cult of HK" here in the USA who worship HK's products, then the German government goes and chooses an M16 variant over HK's original designs. Of course the G6 can be traced back to Stoners AR18...
