I like Ted. Saw him a few times in concert back in the day. I love his views on gun control.

I cant say I like his hunting farms. Herding deer up against a fence for some rich dweeb to shoot like fish in a barrel just doesnt appeal to the "hunter in me". Go out into the woods, alone with a gun and a hunting license and be proud when ya bag a deer.

Just my opinion.

He is entertaining to some. He speaks with passion concerning conservative views and 2nd Amendment rights et al.
But when he had the opportunity to grab a full auto weapon and serve his country he went out of his way not to.

I am in the minority as it concerns "Uncle Ted". My uncles all served/fought and one died for our country. Ted is not my Uncle.

I am not a hypocrite about any of it though.

He needs to apologize to all vets for his past actions so we all can move on. He does not need any national recognition from the pro-gun community as libtards use his past to make us all look like idiots and hypocrites.

Amazing and appalling, I didnt know Ted Nugent dodged the draft.

I like his views on the 2nd amendment, Ive listened to his music, but I gotta agree with Sarge, surely we can find a better public spokesman for gun owners rights.

You guy's got to put things into perspective, in 1966 while still in High school, I got a notice from the Draft Board to - Come on down - under penalty of the law if I did not show up. My dad was a non-union contractor and had pissed off some union types so they went after me. That gave me a draft card deferment ID that I used to go over into N.Y. and pick up beer and sell it to my bud's in high school, It was quite profitable for me. Everyone but everyone was busting ass to get into College in my senior year of high school, the Draft was right there to send you into the Army meat grinder if you did not make it. I got my Draft notice in 68 and went down and joined the Navy to avoid the Army, I'll have to admit. I like sleeping on sheets better than in the mud. You have to realize most of the rich were able to wrangle deferments like Clinton and Chaney. The Beach Boy's the hottest band of the day had members get deferments. So I would not hold Ted Nugent in to much contempt.

Uncle Ted makes sense on so many levels....Oh, yah! They call that COMMON SENSE!

Look at the form date....SS FORM 708 JUL77

The dates written in were in the Sixties and form has a 1977 date on it. There was no draft in 77. That form is a fake.

Probably forged by a liberal to smear Nugent's name.
