Hey guys,

If you are a C&R you can get a great deal on the CAI Ultra 87 shotguns that are made in China. Normally 179 they are 133 if you buy 3 or more. I orderd three (One for a buddy) Just finished doing the transferr on my two and they look to be pretty good quality. These are based on the Remington 870 but are unable to use and 870 barrel. They also have a better safty location than the 870 does and come with adjustable fiberoptic sites and a chrome lined barrel.

They even sell folding stocks and pistol grips for pretty darn cheap. Anyway wanted to let everyone know.

If you are not a C&R you will be unable to see prices and will need a dealer order them for you.

Little info about it.

I am wondering, how can this be a C&R eligable weapon if it is new production? I check their web site and it is not listed in the C&R section. Are you sure it is C&R?
It's not C&R, but if you have a C&R on file you get the dealer price, still has to ship to an FFL and do the paper work.
Coils is correct... regular mortals are not allowed to order firearms from CAI website. C&R can but need to ship to an FFL.

Who is the manufacturer? Chinese-built?
Mine says made in China and gives the place it was built but does not say who manufactured it other than saying CAI who designed it.
Pat thank you for the tip..
Why is Century allowed to bring in Chinese guns when the ATF told me NO Chinese or Russian guns can be imported.
Not to rain on the gun parade but that pisses me off. Is Century paying someone off?
Are their different laws for people with cash in hand.
I have a warehouse full of Chinese AKs I cant bring in because they are Chinese.
Yup. Guess I did not send the correct envelope too the correct person.
"Sporting Arms" versus "Bullet Spraying Baby Killer Arms". I know the Russian trade agreement specifically exempts certain arms like the Saigas from the ban, the Chinese one probably does too. K-Mart used to sell a $99 Norinco copy of the Browning auto .22 that was sweet.

Another possibility is trans-shipment and storage through another country not on the ban list. If you can prove your Russian AK kits were stored in say Canada for X number of years then they can be shipped here as they are considered Canadian, not Russion origin at that point. Usually ATF wants 27 different kinds of proof, notes from your parents, and a sworn statement from Dudley Doright before they will allow import like that. However, IIRC Century does have a Canadian warehouse so they may have purchased these X years ago, got the required proof, then imported them for sale here.
Pat very very sorry for interrupting your post.
Thank you Kernel for the info..
I told the ATF these guns were coming out of Cambodia.
Not to be argumentative but Cambodia is NOT Russia or China.
We spent a lot of friggen money trying too put that deal together.
Talked too some scarey folks in the jungles.
Finally got in with the Guberment powers in Cambodia who were on a full go with selling us the AKs.
We were even going to get the Cambodia Military too demill them for us.
ALL LEGAL PAPERWORK was too be complied with.
Export license, Import license. Payoffs. $$$$
In defense of the ATF. They said it aint us. Customs sees ONE Chinese or Russian part and it aint gettin in.
Yes I understand what you are saying Kernel. I talked to a major importer who brings stuff in through Israel that way.
Well I guess the ATF and Customs just makes up the rules as they go.
Maybe I will call Century and see who I have to slip the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ too.
My buddy is in Cambodia now. I have too call and give him the good news. Chinese parts are allowed in.

this is the exact lop sided warped logic the government has been spewing for years. try to comply with all the BS regulations and do everything legal and you get the shaft in the end.

but i am sure those exact same parts would have no problem finding their way to some mexican or south american drug lords gangs and terrorist, via the illicit pipeline.

i suppose the US government would rather have all those parts in the hands of criminal gangs and outlaws than honest law abiding folks.
Wonder if they could be rebuild within Cambodia into sporting rifles then imported into the USA. Though that may be a logistical nightmare, too many legal hoops to jump through on both sides...
I have a couple of the Ultra 87 shotguns. I bought them before they offered the longer barrel as part of the kit. Now I would like to get the long barrel. I might have to call Century.

Mine didn't come with a longer barrel so maybe they were cleaning stock of the old guns. I have seen one place that sells the gun with both barrles for about $200 but I have been unable to find the longer being sold seperately. I would like to get one of the longer barrels for hunting so I could sell off my Winchester M120.
