anybody know what happened to gunsnet.net?been down for a over a week.

You've been banned shortydog. Clear your cookies file or taek out the gunsnet ****** from the list then re-open your browser. I bet you will be able to see the board and if you try to login you will get the "page cannot be displayed error"

Many have been banned recently after he decided to institue the pay for every damn thing on the website policy. Did you speak up about the new policy or PM one of your friends about it?

BTW: He reads PM's on active members constantly. Last year before I was banned I set a trap for him to see if he was reading them. Sure enough he fell for it and he couldn't help, but try to say a good friend I know personally who I shoot with often had ratted me out.

Im sure when one of his brutesquad sees that Ive joined this board, I will be, tho.

I have read the same thing on one of the other boards.

Others have said that he came down on them, regarding things that had only been mentioned in PM's

He may have hacked it somehow, even as admin, the vbulletin software does not allow you to read PM's.
It does allow you to see how many PM's a member has sent and received and how many PM's they have stored in their sent/received folders, but not their contents.

So I assume he sits around wearing his tin foil hat, checking PM activities. Those members with a high volume of PM's or those on his shit list, might be getting some special attention.

Hello custer, DB and all!

It's good to see you here. My opinion is that how GunsNet runs its Board is their business, whether anyone else agrees or not. No one has to post there, and as evidenced by this and other Boards, there are numerous alternatives. I wish GunsNet well.

I joined this Board, because GunsNet did not appear to be what I wanted. I enjoyed the free-spirited AK side until it turned into a big sandbox for juvenile name calling and insults. I tried the C&R side, and there are some super people there, as well, but it did not work out, either. The way we feel about GunsNet, or anything else, is subjective. Maybe, our feelings or instincts are wrong, but they are genuine. So, it's probably a matter of finding a Discussion Board where you want to participate? It's sort of like the old TV series, "Cheers." Would Norm keep returning if, when he entered, everyone yelled at him to go F* himself, instead of calling out his name in friendly recognition? Hey, I just realized Norm never posted on GunsNet's AK side! Maybe, we'll see him here?

And I suppose it was Saddam Hussiens business how he ran Iraq? :wink: If the little nazi over there wants to play dictator, that's his right. But in this country Aclay, we also have a right to voice our opinion on it. Glad to see you here, not trying to start a flame. GG

Yes there is a hack so that admin can read everyone's private messages. DTHOR was seen at the vB forum asking a question about the hack then stated that "it works great!".

The thanks go to SangRunHunter and the mystery man who runs this place. Ironically the little nazi sent me a spam email bad mouthing this site, thats how I found out about it. Hah-haaaaaaaaa. :headspin: GG
