I was told that the rails I received were all ready hardend. But after about 60 rounds I am seeing the tip of the extaractor denting. How can I go about hardening that piece or tip efectivley? Thanks!

They're fairly easy to harden. I use a product from Brownell's, have to guess the spelling, casenite.

I'm afraid I don't get real technical with it-- heat up to a good glow and dunk it in the power.

Kasenit, motor oil, charcoal, or water. I've heard so many ways to harden the surface I'm not sure which one to use. I know Kasenit is meant for this particular job, but its like 10.55+7.50 shipping. If it is only motor oil, then I'll use some I have at the house. What would you guys recommend for the job...so you don't have to go back and do it again? Also, where's a good place to get one of these torches you guys are reffering to?
