Wow that's really cool. Looks like a RPK sight on steroids.
From what I understand so far you zero the rifle with subsonic ammo with the side dials on the low setting as read on the left side and adjust the front sight post for proper zero. Then you zero with standard M43 ammo and adjust the side dials for proper zero and record that setting. Then when you switch between ammo you just turn the side dials for proper zero.
Cool sight, Now you need a silencer for it.
And a VSS Val to go with the silencer ;)
Ive though about building one in 9x39 and I even know a guy with a reamer he'll let me use but I just cant seem to find any heavy true 9mm bullets to use or dies to reload with.
That's the reason I like the .338. Lotsa selection. I don't need a true caliber clone, just one that works.

The 9mm bullets I'm selecting for my starting 9x39 loads are the Nosler 250 gr ballistic tips. I'm basing the throat around that bullet. Of course I am attempting to imitate the real thing as closely as possible so if/when real ammo is available it will chamber. :)
have you considered casting some?? cast bullets should work well for a supressed 9x39. Im getting into casting bullets soon i met a guy who is very very experianced has done over a million bullets has all the stuff and is willing to teach all the tricks. I want to do a bunch of .30 plinker bullets with the red dot load.
