not AK related, but I love it out here. It is now about 2:00AM and I just came in from mowing the lawn, my nearets neibor would be unlikely to hear it even if they happened to be outside. If I still lived in suburbiea land of the luxury overcrouded white colloms, someone would be calling the cops on me. MAN I love it out here. :thumbup1: I am so glad I moved. I have fired some here at night with no issue . I do however think I would pass on the tannerite at 2:00 AM but that is ok too.

I just rembered I built my garage a few years ago, and worked my normal shift so I was running equiptment and hammering till 5:00AM under quarts lights. I did notice a car or two slow down out at the road but screw them , rite. try dooing that is the suburbs. HAHAHAhahhaa

I know what your saying. I live up on a hill in the middle of the woods and my nearest neighbor is 2000 feet away. I can walk out on my porch and fire a couple clips without any hassles from the not so local law enforcement. You cannot even see my house from the nearest road and my driveway is 500 feet long. I pitty the gun grabbers when they come calling on me. ak'sr4me

I know what you?re saying too, I moved out to the country fifteen years ago with my wife. Our nearest neighbor is almost a half-mile down the road. When we moved in I could count the lights at night on one hand, but now it?s like Christmas out here with all the new homes that have been built. I?m still on a gravel road but I?ve got nuts zipping along at 100 mph down it at times trying to avoid the cop?s on the main highway to my North. I live about twelve miles W-N-W of DeKalb, IL and that?s the home of NIU, there are nights when they have a football game or other event at the stadium and I can see my shadow from the lights twelve miles away. Damn? it used to be we could run around naked if we wanted to (not that we did) with out any problem, but now I?ve got the cop?s coming around if I have more than two vehicles per person on my property or if my goats get lose. We can?t even have more that three dogs and cats and I?m zoned as agricultural. Enjoy the freedom while you can because it won?t last forever.
