My five month old is still not sleeping though the night, and my four year old has a cold that wakes her up every couple of hours, and me too. Also, my wife is officialy hot again and I'm too tired to care. She's been digging old jeans our of the attic from before our first kid was born, and I keep getting in trouble for not noticing. Also, I need to have my new vasectamy checked, but buy the time I have the requisite number of test fires, I'll be too embarrased to look my doctor in the face.

Bummer you didn't get that vasectomy about 5 years ago. Thank you for the reminder of why I chose not to breed.

Your vasectomy go OK? Mine was an adolescent castration fantasy come to life, followed by my testicles swelling to the size of grapefruit and then being thrust inside my abdominal cavity by an athletic supporter. "You're going to feel a bit of discomfort." my ass!

I gotta brother who, when he gets into the state you're in, holes up in a motel with a couple of good detective novels for a couple of days and doesn't let anyone know where he is so they gotta leave him alone. Be nice if you could do something like that.

I was gonna sleep downstairs for a couple nights cause my cold was waking the baby, but my wife would not have it. I guess a motel is out of the question.

Oh, and the proceedure went well. The next day I took my daughter to a harvest festival and walked a corn maze. Even went on hay rides. I should have milked it more.

Also had the vasectomy from Hell. At first I was biting my tounge trying to keep from getting wood from the young gal who did the shaving part. Then the Doc, without asking, brought in a bunch of med students to observe. He shoots me with local and makes the incision and needlenose pliars the vas defren out the side and man it felt like he had just whacked me with a baseball bat. I let out a groan and tensed up like a 4x4. The Doc admonishes me to be still and cracks a joke about having a scalpel next to my unit, which by this time appears trying to turn itself inside out and crawl back inside. The nurse gets a sedative and shoots me in the shoulder and it just balls up under the skin 'cause I'm in total clamp mode and she cant get the needle into the muscle tissue. The good Doc shoots me full of more local and now everthing swells up and he cant find the vas, he roots around for about 5 minutes to locate it. The other side went a lot better, but I was black and blue for 2 weeks. And the saga continues as I still have flare ups where the vas defrens get inflamed and painful. Course the Doc says it wasn't his fault, I just have overly sensitive vas. Yeah right.

Yeah, me too. I looked like I was shoplifting a softball for about three days.

Wonder if we had the same doc. If I had it to do over again, I'd take a few valium before going under the knife or show up half drunk. Don't know why docs don't routinely give you tranqs first. You're expected to not tense up while someone is going after your privates with a knife? Yeah, right!

I got a valium first, but they were running about an hour behind when I got there, so it had worn off by the time I got in there. Oh, what fun, I had the same "where'd it go?" experience as GG. I too have problems now, epiditimitis (sounds painful, right? It is.) once or twice a year.

My wife has to have her Cervix scraped because of cell irregularities from time to time. The first time she learned not to listen to the "It doesn't hurt a bit" BS. The next time she took a Vicodine of mine about 20 mins before going. Much better!

Man! Now I don't know if I want a vasectomy!

Highly recommended, very glad I did it. Takes the worry out of being close. Just see if you can score some tranquilizers to take. FYI, benzodiazepines (e.g. Valium, Libriuim, etc.) are remarkably safe, nearly impossible to OD on them so long as you don't have any alcohol on board. Very dangerous to mix them with alcohol.

It ain't too bad Sang... just don't over do it... I brought the suffering on myself... came home on Thursday, sat around all evening... slept in on Friday... felt great Friday afternoon, so I started knocking out honey do items around the house. Woke up Saturday morning feeling a little sore, but once I got moving things "seemed" alright... so like a dumb ass I mowed and trimmed the lawn, then went and did the grocery shopping.

Needless to say... for the entire rest of the following week... by the end of the day at work I was doing the pimp limp shuffle all the way to the car... I mean DAMN... all week long the latter part of every day felt like someone had taken a swing at me with a freaking baseball bat... sick to the stomach feeling and all for hours.

Whatever you do... take it easy... even if you feel right as rain shortly after the procedure.

More earwax?
Only the active ingredient is removed from the recipie. The rest is still there. I could still be a porn star if I wanted.

AND wear the athletic supporter! Mine only hurt when things got "low". I hate jocks and tried to skip that, but you can't. By the way, a Jock strap was meant to be worn OVER your underwear, not instead of underwear.
