Note: Comes in a softened state and once formed must be heat treated and hardened

Yes! You have to heat treat the axis pin holes and rails. There are other posts here at gunsnet that can answer all your questions. You will just have to read older posts.

Ok, I did see those. What threw me off is the way it was worded, I was thinking it was referring to the WHOLE receiver, not just those points.

Very good question though. I was wondering that same thing on my 1st build. You can heat treat those areas once the rails are spot welded in.
