I know it is not realy AK related but I am very excited about it anyway. I wanted a linker for another gun I have and was looking at them for sale at a few places. the price was about $200 on average from place to place. I started to think well maby it is time, so I started to look closer at the tool. I realized it is not GI tool , it is a tool that somplace has made . so I looked even closer and realized that it realy was a simpal machine. SO today I made one myself. I have all the parts made and all the welding done, I have a few holes to drill and then to bolt it togeather. I did not do this earlyer because their is some measurements for the holes in the linkage that will act like timeing and I did not have any links and ammo ware I was. But I have ammo and links here so this week I will do my finas fine tuneing and I will be linking with a hand press, instead on pressing links by hand.. :thumbup1: way cool when you need to link up a few thousand rounds.

Nicely said Mike. Wish I needed one too! Congrats on your new tool HB. If it is anything like the rivet smasher you made, it should be a good quality machine!

I will post some photos soon when I have all the bugs worked out.. nouthing like hammering away with 250 round belts. and as many links as you can put togeather. Last time I ran it I blew through about 1500 rounds.. ye haw
