I have a pre ban Prochine and was told it was pretty rare.

I have never been able to learn much about it and never see any posts anywhere discussing Prochine.

What do you guys think?

There's not a factory or Chinese symbol anywhere on it.

Receiver is marked:

S/N 87055XX Prochine Corp AK47S 7.62x39 MM

Made in China Sher Wood Int'l Export Corp. Northriged, CA

All numbers match, including the bayo. All wood stock, bakelite bayo sheath. 2 Norinco bakelite mags.

Don't know if this helps, but found this searching Yahoo for the company name:

Sherwood International Export Corp
18714 Parthenia St.
Northridge, CA 91324
(818) 349-7681

aLSO got a few hits (2) searching for
"Prochine 7.62x39".

Saw a prochine on gunsamerica.com - looks about like any other Chinese pre-ban rifle like a Norinco, same box setup actually.

Wow Ive never even heard of a prochine. Do you know how many are around? A pic would be nice :)
Bud, it looks like every other preban I have ever seen. No factory markings on it.

I've been told it is rare, but I don't know what that really means.

If you go to the Maysville shoot I'll have it with me.

I bought a Romanian 75 round drum from AIM today! 1000 rounds of 762x39, some .303 Brit, 120 rounds of 8mm, and 150 rounds of ,45 ACP.
