I swear, I never thought the simple task of buying a TV set would be soo long..

I left the house at 11:30 this morning..

Drove the 20 minutes to the mall/shopping area..

Went in 4 different store, including Wall Mart.. I swear that wallyworl attracts the dumbest people.. I almost bought a gun there so I could thin the heard a bunch.. Just kidding, but I did come close to breaking some cell phones.. I mean really, why must people walk around, pushing a buggy, and jibber jabber on the phone.. This ***** ran her buggy into me, and I politlly told her how she would have to dial the phone after I got done shoving it up her a$$...

Finally found a good buy at the last palce I went..

Got home around 3pm..

This thing weighs a ton, had to wait till after 4 to get help bringing it in the house..

4:15 opend the box.. Shit!!!!! this thing aint gonna fit on my stand....

4:30 ate a frozen pizza

5pm out the door to buy a new tv stand...

4 stores later I am back at the house around 6:30pm....

6:30-8:15 putting stand together

8:15-11:00 hooking all the stereo crap back up, and putting in new stand..

11:00 wake my buddy up to help me lift the tv up on the new stand..

11:15-12:30 finishing hooking everything up, and clean the living room back up/haul out boxes...

13 damned hours into buying a new tv set.. Do you belive this shit????

I do believe it. My wife wanted a new tv almost two years ago. when all was said and done we ended up with a new tv, entertainment center (to fit the new tv seeing old one wouldn't work), and lots of time spent/wasted. Good thing was she had bought me a surround sound system for Christmas so at least I had something to hook it up too, lol.

I bought my first new TV during the elections of 2000. My wife and I used to not watch too much TV and we always had a used one or hand me down.

When we couldn't watch the election stuff, we went to Circuit City at 8 PM. Nobody came to help us and the place was empty except for the 19 year old kids that work there standing around BS'ing.

I walked up to one of them and said: I'm here to buy a TV and I know which one, in 5 minutes I want to be at the checkout counter paying for it. Any questions?

The kid looked at me like I was going to kill him :D 5 mins later I had my 27 inch TV.

I knew there was a good reason, other than the firmly held belief that they suck your brains out of your eyes, that I didn't own one of those.
