Der BRT! (Big Red Truck)

5.0L V-8, AOD trans, 2WD XLT model.

Had it for over 3 weeks now and I am very pleased. 89k miles and in great shape. I paid $4500 for and the guy gave me a notebook filled with all the maintenance he had done since 1993 when he bought it new. I had a split dual system put on it since the tailpipe was getting a little old also.

It had farm truck style running boards on it I took off and my neighbor put the pin stripe on it for me.

If anyone wants a set of running boards in good shape for nothing, PM me.

The truck looks great! Especially the interior and paint. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal and a nice neighbor...or he's just afraid of you cause he knows about all the guns you have!!

Naw, he's a body man and a good friend. He dug out his rolls of pin stripe and we buffed it out too. He was bored and felt like doing something, I was like, okay!

While I was reading the text and saw $4500 for a 93 2WD F-150, I thought, Yikes, that's a lot of Benjamin's for that vehicle.

But after seeing the pics, it does appear to be a really nice truck, with a lot of options.

The extra cab, dual tanks, and the xlt style interior, styled wheels, chrome trim package etc all make a big difference in the value of the truck.
Not to mention that's pretty low mileage for a 93.

I think I did pretty good finding a good truck. It would have been nice to find a 96 or 97, but this guy took great care of it and even garaged it. It was not driven the last 5 winters either which is a good reason it's stayed so nice here in the rust belt.

Looks pretty good for a '93. After ditching the cap on my '91 it looks alot less "old man-ish". Wish I had an extra cab like that though, the passenger side seat and floor is my temporary tool box, lol. I've got a friend who offered to buff mine out last weekend, after seing your pics I think I'll go for it. Might be interested in those running boards if they'll fit a standard cab, I'll shoot ya a pm later--gotta get back to work!
