My kit from Tapco was missing the spring for the lock on the folder mechanism.

At my local hardware store "Smalls Pro Hardware" they have a huge selection of springs.

I bought a No.3 and No.6 spring. The No.6 is the same diameter, but longer.

The No.3 worked just right for the folder. It fit around the bolt/button and was the right length. It could be slightly shorter maybe, but worked great.

I bought two AMD65 kits from them a few weeks or so back when they had the $59 sale. One of the kits was missing the sear spring and the folding stock spring. The other kit was missing the rear trunion. I called them up, let them know the problem, and had the missing parts delivered within just a couple of days. I believe they shipped the missing parts the same day that I called.

Making a mistake is one thing, but making it right really shows character. I'm happy with Tapco and always have been. The only issue that I have with them is the high shipping on the little bitty stuff.

I ended up having to request two rear trunnion that had their edges cracked off where they fit into the receiver, 3 washer looking things that fit in the pistol grip, and 4 tabs that attach to the sling, one trigger gaurd that had been melted very badly, and a barrel that was rusted out. I had the replacements parts very fast via Priority mail, no questions asked. I really have a lot of faith in TAPCO. Tony has always been A+ in my book. Needless to say I ordered 5 kits. Couldn't pass up such a great deal!
