I have not shot mine yet as I still need to rivet the rear tunion but the muzzle device looks nice. The only thing I don't like is being a pimp for Tapco. How so you say? I hate the way they have to advertise on all their parts and not even compensate me for it...<insert chuckle here> It does seem to be a well put together item though.

I have one on one of my AMD-65s and I like the look much better than the other extended brakes out there, and it also looks a lot much better than the original brake with the extension.
Doesn't it count as a US part since you are not using the original brake? I had heard that the extension didn't count as a US part because you still used the stock brake, but since the whole extension is US made does it count now? I am confused.

That is correct.
The extension alone does not help your parts count because you are adding another countable part, so it basically cancels itself out.

By replacing the original brake with this US made extended brake, it will reduce your imported parts count by one
