Greetings all.

I got an email from gunsnet staff telling me of this board, so I thought I would check it out and register.

I guess they want me to move on because my Second Amendment views run contrary to the appropriate\accepted\condoned thought process of their "clique". I hope "opposing viewpoints" are not taboo here, over there you run contrary to the accepted viewpoint and the mods start with the name calling. Not too professional if you ask me.

Please understand, when I say "opposing viewpoints" I only mean that I am not a Bush bot that blindly follows the party line, I am a conservative and strong constitutionalist who will not accept anything other than what the Bill of Rights says.

I have been needing a board to call home, and I hope this is the start of a wonderful relationship.

I just got the same message from Gunsnet and had to come over and see what the fuss was about. Funny, I'd never heard of Gunco before that email. Methinks sending out that email may have been an error in strategy. Some of the stuff coming from the Gunsnet admin lately has been a bit....odd. Or maybe not so odd come to think of it.

Anyway, I"m always happy to find another haven for gun lovers.

Welcome to Gunco!

Hard Charger,

We have people here that have different views and you will not be bashed for that from the staff. I happen to like Bush, but I do see things he could do better or I don't agree with at all. Speak your mind here, but we like to leave personal insults off the board and we have had no issues here except a few trolls that pop up and call us thiefs and liars and we know where they come from.

Anyway.... Feel free (the operative is free) to post an browse.

3rdpig,

That was quite nice of him to give us a free boost in membership.

Ah, Hard Charger. Welcome. One of many more alienated by the anointed at Gunsnet.
When I posted my objections to the "new changes", the anointed (mostly higher contributers) called me a leech, a mooch, likened me to someone who lives in welfare housing and wants more, and one fellow (Aviator) told me I should be grateful that I was allowed to visit and post there and that I should STFU.
I believe I was among the first, if not the first, to object to the new changes. The thread was getting really ugly and a lot of feelings were getting hurt, mostly by the higher contributers really disrespecting the non-contributors.
The thread has since been *deleted* in true gunsnet cover-up fashion.

BTW, Gordon Gage is over here now too, he bear the proud title "banned" now as he got into it with GNS.

I only maintain my presence there for the C&R forums, which unfortunately are going downhill a bit now too thanks to this, and a deep seated need to rubberneck, sort of like watching a train wreck. You can't turn away.

Hi Hard Charger, yep I think GNS stepped in the do do with the pay to pray thing. I don't mind contributing to help a website that I like, but the or else BS don't fly. Glad to see you here. Roy

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I don't mind the Bush-bots, in fact, they make for stimulating conversation, and I have a lot more in common with them, than I differ.

FTR, I like President Bush personally, and it drives me nuts to hear the dems second guessing him and criticizing him, when I know they could not do any better. Hindsight is 20-20.

If the Bush-bots would make their feelings known to the party and the President, he may not have been such a big spender, liberal and cave-in man.
