I am going to ask here too for votes on our polish kit. The question is what grip?? here are the choices 1 US made black, 2 US made laminated wood, 3 the very common red polish grip, 4 a very dark brown polish made grip.

we do not need the parts to be US made for the count but it is OK too if we do use one.
The laminated wood is ironwood designs, the red plastic comes in most of the pikish kits, the dark brown grip is very dark but has specks of red, it came in only one of the polish kits I have seen.. All oppinions welcome.

second vote I am asking for is the break.should I use an original styl slant or an Ak break global has many kinds all US made. again all oppinions are welcome
I know their are plenty of oppinions out their here is your chance

I must of missed something.

there will be a polish KIT with usa parts?
OR
a complete weapon?

US PARTS, I would go with
(1) slant brake - global # a-559
(2) Hammer
(3) disconnector
(4) trigger
(5) receiver (oow or vulcun)
(6) gas piston

With the above listed parts you can use polish furniture and any mags.

Now, if you do want to go with a laminated pistol grip, I have a suggestion.
I might be able to have a someone (you know who) make us some laminated grips and MIGHT be able to get the price down to the ballpark area of the ironwood depending on quanity (in the $25 range). Ironwood does not make good grips.

I would go with a Tapco G2 FCG. You can't beat the price.

Gas piston is a no-brainer. You can't see it when the gun is done and there is no difference in fit or function between a US and original.

The prob with Global's receiver is the milling required for the trunions.

Yes please fill me in. I was going t oorder a polish kit today, but I guess I will wait.

Anyone have dimensions on what the hole for the rear folder looks like? I haven't paid all my pay per view fees yet, so I cannot pull up an old thread with this info.

Thanks

so far it looks like "Keep it as original as possible" has it. but the vote is still open. the decision is not finalized till I put the welder to it.
As for the guys that are not familiar. :sorry: I was not more clear in this post. I am building I polish kit in the projects forum and have put any option I could out to vote. Then detailing allmost everything in the thread as it is done. putting everything to the vote has made it fun for myself and others, this is why I call it "our" polish kit, I posted here just to get more partisipation before it is all over :)
as for the grip I only put up what I have here, but I am allways open to ideas.
pretty much all that is left is grip color-styl, and break. check out the thread in projects forum.

VOTE EARLY VOTE OFTEN :headspin:

here's another vote from me.

Global slant brake, a 47 has to have a slant brake...

Ace "yugo" grip...I have one and it's just a bit fatter and a tad shorter, makes for a good "feel"

No camo colors, it just don't look right. (to me)
