 Just figured I'd put my 2 bits in concerning the Phillipino military leaving Iraq. First, I think this is a very cowardly move on their part. For crying out loud they only have like 50 people there. Now, they are packing their bags (when the heat gets turned up) and are leaving. Not to mention, they've done exactly what the terrorists are wanting. If I were a terrorist (I'm not), I would then make sure and especially target the Phillipino people who might be working there, because I know I will get some results from their government. I think their decision to leave is going to absolutely back fire on them. I read one report that said that the insurgents are still going to keep him as a "P.O.W.". Lets not forget about the other guy who already got his head chopped off. I just don't understand what they think they are going to gain out of leaving Iraq. As far as I'm concerned they look like a bunch of damn pansies.

Sounds like they are ready to get in the train cars for the gas camber to me. I am glad I live in a country were we can have guns to fight back if need be. I hope it never get to the point were we are scard of a few people and lay down to any one that thinks we are wrong. I say bring it on. I would open the submarine hatches and let the A-bombs come down on them.

I have been to the Philippines many times and honestly I hate to but I have to agree. they screwed themselves, BUT they did it a long time ago. first off did you know that the Philipine president offered cash to the kidnapers in Irac?? no you do not hear that in the U.S. news. this time the kidnapers did not want cash so they turned it down. The presidant offered cash because that is the everyday standard over their. KIDNAPING is big business over their and a good business too. everyone of them are so used to it it happenes all the time, often the kidnapers will drop off the hostage at a poilce station even make the cash exchange at a police station.
they have made the huge mistake years ago of giving kidnapers what they want and letting them do it again. I can tell you truthfully that twice I was rushed off the side if the mountain and out of the jungle with abusayaf on my ass. you want to talk a crazy fast ride in a jeepney down a dirt road holy sh**. my body guard was flipping out. I mean flipping out big time. He knowes first hand how the muzlums treat their guests.

they are allready over run with militant muzlums it is basicaly like a civil war ,, often their. MANY parts of their country are just not safe , even places their military do not dare to go because the muzlums are now so well armed, and the government watched it happen and did nouthing to stop it.
How about a ship from china full of arms that took like a week fro the rebels to unload and stash out in the jungle, that is a lot of stuff and the government did not want to get involved. they did not want the trouble today and just do not think of the trouble tomorow.

They should have responed to the demands by sending 50 more people to Iraq.

If the so called allies all did that when terrorists make demands I think the kidnapping would stop.

you are exactly correct but unfortunatly they do not think that way. I have tried to explain that same thing but they just do not get it. I told many that if they pay 200,000 peso ransom for one the kidnapers will buy bigger better guns and get more followers so next time they will kidnap 8 or 10 people and demand 2,000,000 peso. they have tought the rebels that it is good business. I have explained it many times, the ONLY way to stop the kidnaping is to stop paying. they just do not get it. I do not think they will ever get it. one day they will have a full scale civil war and the government will loose,"my oppinion". the rebels will kill soljers with weapons bought with money the government gave them as ransom. sad but true. they will not get it till it is way too late.
