Can ya'll help me with a few questions on the barrel pins on the front sight block and the gas block. Can they be hammered out with a hammer and punch? Or do they have to be pressed out? Can you re-use them when putting back together or do you have to buy oversized ones when installing? My first time removing these.

I had to remove the pins on my WASR-10 because of sight cant, I just driffed them out. It was easy, left to right. But the pins were straight so I guess it didn't matter which way you went. I would of reused the same pins however since I had to reset the sight I needed to use oversize pins.

You should be able to remove the pins, remove the sight, then after installing the sight reuse the same pins. Just keep in mind that the FSB and GB can be on "REAL" tight and you might need a press to remove them.

If you misplace them or want new ones, the cross pins (aka drift pins or dowel pins) are 3mm dowel pins and are available from McMaster-Carr. Look in their catalog for Metric Dowel Pin 3mm x 12mm McMaster #91595A213.
