Still needs more work but here is my attempt to make an AKM with the features of a SAKO RK95 from a Romy G Kit with some modifications:

Looks good, keep us updated as you progress
It does look nice. Curious to see more about it. :)
Got the idea to use HK G3 front sight from a guy who modified a Yugo underfolder the same way. Not sure if he posted it here but you can find it using google, look for Yugo HK. He used 3/4 inch electrical conduit glued with some kind of cement epoxy to attach the conduit from the gas block to the front sight.

I used 7/8 inch conduit inside of 1 inch conduit to go around the gas block for a stronger fit. Had to shim both with pieces of 26 gauge roof metal for a tight fit. Used 3/4 conduit from the front of the rear sight to the flash hider to give it something to tighten- up against and hide the grooves from the old front sight base pins. Also drilled the barrel for a pin to secure the HK G3 sight front sight. Drilled hole through the conduit and front sight middle ring and another through both pieces of conduit and inserted pins to help secure the pieces. Put some PC7 epoxy inside the front of the conduit to secure the pins and fill-in the hole. Would be allot easier if I knew how to weld, yukedy, yuk!

Replaced the gas piston with a Galil type, cut off rear sight base and used a piece of strapping to secure the Galil gas tube. Modified the trunion but it only has a small amount of metal to hold the gas tube. First, I silver soldered a piece of strapping over the trunion but was unsure if it would hold so added the larger piece of strapping which goes around the gas tube and the bottom of the rear sight base still attached to the barrel.

Rest was simple, added a Falcon Arms Galil type stock, akpartskits top cover with rear sight, Tapco Galil type hand guard, M16 type flash hider and a Galil mag catch. Eventually I am going to use a smooth top cover and attach a modified M16 sight, make a liner for the handguard and paint it black. Will post pictures after I finish and test fire. Thank you very much for the compliments. Would really like to have A SAKO RK95 but of course they are not available!

Looks great Tommo. Yeah there's a lot of guys building with the G3 front sight. They just look so right on there. I think it's a great idea. Robert RTG even sells the package deal now for all the parts for both front and rear G3 sights. Makes it easier finding the parts. That really looks sharp. Please keep us informed on the progress. I'm really interested to see the final result.
Thanks very much. Yes, the G3 front sight is easier to line-up and see especially in low light. Thanks for the information on Robert RTG, I bought a few G3 front sights from APEX last year. Got the Galil mag catch from a guy on Gunbroker.
That looks really good. I would love to hear about sight line-up, and elevation using that combination.
Will have to adjust the elevation both by flipping the rear aperature and filing the front sight post. The front sight post of the G3 sight looks to be approximately the same height I had the original AK front sight post set at. However, the proof will be in the shooting, wish me luck on that, yukedy, yuk!

Did some work on another Romy G kit on an NDS-1 receiver. Decided it was too much trouble to use Gail gas tube which required cutting off the rear sight base and modifying the trunion. Just removed the rear sight and filled hole with a piece of steel and PC7 and used a Saiga gas tube. Trimmed down sides of Tapco handguard and attached with 3 wood screws a piece of plastic tube filled with PC7 for a fore grip. Used a piece of 7/8 inch steel tube instead of 1 inch electrical conduit to attach to the G3 sight. Will redo the first one I did.

Found I had to cut a section from 1 inch electrical conduit and insert it between the top cover and rear sightbase/rail to get proper elevation with the G3 front sight. The rear sight/rail is attached with two machine screws to the top cover so not a problem making this adjustment.

Also did ones in 5.45X39 and 5.56X45 using Bulgy AK74 kits on NDS-2 receivers. Made rear sights using Tech-Sight 10-22 rear sights and pieces of 1 inch square tube cut length wise and attached with PC7 and large pop rivets.

Here are some pictures of Johnny 5.56's modified Yugo from which I got the idea to use the G3 front sight.

Thanks, the G3 sight is easier to see for my 64 year old eyes than an AK sight and works better in low light.
What kind of handguard did you decide on? I can't find any that match as well as that one!

I used a Tapco Galil style front hand guard. Modified it by trimming down the top edges as I was not going to use the crappy top piece.

Took a piece of black plastic tubing and filled it with PC7 epoxy. Drilled three wood screws thorough the bottom of the hand guard to attach the plastic tubing which serves as a forward hand grip.

Lined the inside of the hand guard with aluminum heating duct tape to reflect heat.

To get proper elevation adjustments switched to HKG3 rear sights.

Here are the final versions in 7.62x39, 5.45x39, 5.56x45:
