Dang 4th, I can't even see out to 400 yards anymore, let alone group like that with irons! The short sight radius is also a handicap. I think ya done earned your marksman badge. Now, if ya can get rid of that upward pull to the left ya might get Expert next time! ;)
They can use your skills in the sand box 4th.I need glass at anything smaller than a Hog at 100yards.:)
Nice! I hope to shoot that good someday.
400 yards!!did you call a cab to set up the target?

Nice shooting 4th!!!
Damn 4th, that's good shooting.
I knew you'd like the AR platform once you got used to it.
Now don't go running off to the sandbox on us, we need those skills up on the roof!
+1 for Pirates exellent build too.
So.......How many THOUSAND rounds did you fire at that target, before you put a few holes in it??? Heh.....Heh
Good shooting bud!!!
Outstanding 4th!!! That shorty is a keeper.
geepers--just think what 4th could do with a scope er-- i mean optic!
O.K. o.k. Brad and Pirate caught a hint of the old Irish tall tale with that one. :trulies: :) :)
50 yards and we had to give some kid at the range a box of ammo to go get our target. :)
I kept turning the site adjustment too the rite but I think we should have been turning it left.
C mags and not one jam running about 200 rounds through.
Cannot believe the accuracy that could be gotten with someone with good eyesight with these weapons.
In the rite hands I would bet these shorties could hit center at least out too 100 yards. Or better I would guess?
The AR has come a long way since I last shot one.
For sure fun weapons too shoot.
Now I want another one. Oh God I am going Mall Ninja. :)

LOL 4th! we did have wind of a wee bit of Kentucky wind-age. either that or the "0" stuck and the range was 40m rather than 400m.

you will be surprised how far it will shoot with that short barrel. you may have to scope shortie to find out how far and how well it will shoot.
You ol' dog!!! I bought it hook line and sinker. (that's what the wife's and mine look like at 400. 20'' barrels though.)
how does the 5.45 set up shoot 4th?

Rock river makes excellent bbls, both my 16" and 11" are very accurate.
Next thing you know, you'll want a 50 beowulf in a short barrel setup.
O.K. o.k. a wee bit of a true story. I shot expert with every weapon the military put in my hands in basic and AIT.
In junior high "7th grade" I was on the rifle team. For real we had a shooting range in the basement of the school. I liked it so much I stayed back just too stay on the team an extra two years.
A nice coach taught us the safety and proper handling of a weapon. Probably a WWII Vet he was. Real nice guy.
Pretty sure you wont see rifle teams at that age in school anymore. Sadly, I guess, times have changed.
Now the skills are there. Just the old eyes are gone.

The shorty. 10in. barrel is a smooth shooter Pirate to answer your question.
Not a hiccup out of the old girl. You guys did a great job..
I would not hesitate to buy another one.
Hay you.

Well now yah got me thinkin. Hmm that would be cool. We only have the one range close by out in the forest.
They outlawed those .50s there.
Damn when those things went off everybody was laying on the ground holding their heads with a concussion.
I am saving my pennies to buy this one from ProjectGuns.
MG42.. I kept trying to steal it buy Pirate never took his eyes off me till I put it back on the rack. :)

Did the range do away with the 50 BMG round or did they do away with all 50's (like the 50 AE and the 50 beowulf)?

So will you buy the MG42 next month? ;)
That does look like a nice rifle you're holding in the pic. :)
Pretty sure the sign says no .50s.. The Forest Service runs it and they set the rules. :dunno:

Not yet on the MG-42. That was a great day down at ProjectGuns. They have all kinds of nice toys. :)
Here is a picture of the Mayor "Willie" for yah. He is down to 425 pounds now. :) He is heading too Haiti to do union electrical work.
Picture of Ptannjr over at his new shop in Ocala. He is doing high end stereo, T.V.s, rims and other types of electronic installation in cars and trucks.
