Today's Islamic invasions are by emmigration. It's odd that France welcomes Muslims in great numbers today. Centuries ago, the Moores were invading France after conquering almost all of the Iberian peninsula. We also see a growing Islamic influence in England. Remember Richard Reed, the "shoe bomber." Muslims in those countries are unwilling to adopt the cultures of their new homelands. It appears they seek to change their new homelands into the image of repressive societies they left. They seek to undo what their militant predecessors began in 711AD - bring Europe into The House of Islam.

From a historic perspective, Europe is ripe for Islamic conquest. It lacks the religious fervor which fueled European successes against Muslim conquest, but so did Seventh Century Christendom. Muslim leaders need to study history and revisit the consequences of waging War in the namer of Allah. It will lead to intolerance and cruelty equal to anything they muster.

The Spanish Inquisition was barbaric and cruel. It contradicts every notion of human rights presently valued by modern society, at least among predominantly Christian countries. However, it was a natural reaction to centuries of Islamic conquest and oppression. Don?t be surprised to see the spirit of St. James lead another wave of anti-mohammedism, if Islamofascists continue their jihad against the West.

It was Muslims who began a 15 century old conflict with Christians and Jews. Though PC history condemns the Crusades, Mulsims waged their own crusades centuries earlier, conquering Holy cities and Christian lands from the Middle East to southeastern Europe, across North Africa into Spain. It was a Holy War begun by Islam and which is still waged today. Islam divides the world into two houses: The House of Islam and The House of War. The western world just happens to remain in The House of War. That's a simple reality of Islam.

Without the religious fervor which later fueled the Spanish Inquisition, there likely would never have been a King Fernando and Queen Isabella to dispatch Christopher Columbus to the New World. The New World may be singing chants to Allah, instead of offering prayers to Saints.

Muslims conquered almost all of the Iberian peninsula beginning with an invasion in 711AD. Though some historians regard their rule as "tolerant," reality differs. Christians and Jews were persecuted. Churches and Holy Places were desecrated and destroyed. Only after Christians rallied behind legends of Saint James, whose tomb was discovered in the tiny Christian Kingdom of Alfonso II, were they able to reverse the Islamic domination of their homeland. Still, the conflict took five centuries. It was not until January 2, 1492 that the last Muslim stronghold in Granada was conquered. Christian religious fervor, fueled by Islamic conquest and persecution, followed a natural course of finally removing its enemy?s influence through whatever means necessary. Perhaps the same spirit was involved in Kosovo? We may see history repeat itself, if Islamic leaders and Mullahs continue their calls to jihad against the West.

Don't be surprised if Islam's calls for jihad and conquest do not again fuel religious hatred and persecution. History has a tendency to repeat itself, only now the western world has the military power to totally anhilate the House of Islam. Hopefully, those who inspire and fuel today's jihad will eventually be overcome by muslims whose voices are heard in democratic elections. However, that would require muslims to reverse centuries of religious indoctrination. I think it more likely El Cid will rise from the grave to fight Muslim Kings.

Clay, I think you are right. I could see a tremendous backlash against Muslims in certain parts of the world. It may come to pass that religions are confined to certain regions of the planet. There may be large mass-scale migrations for this reason. Kinda like the way it happened in India when it gained its independence form GB.

Last week I was reading some internet articles about the Crusades...I don't even remeber where to find it, but one article on the history of the crusades stated thated the Christians were never really able to defeat the Muslims after havinf driven them back from some of the conquored lands. The arthor stated that what finally relegated the muslims to "third world" status back then was the Renaissance in Europe and the Christian Nations become wealthy world powers and more of less just leaving Islam in the dust of poverty and stagnation.

If that is true....and now that they control that which lubricates the engines of economy....well, if they ever truly wise up we could be in a world of hurt.
