Yugo : Hefty, Hefty, Hefty

Romy : Wimpy, Wimpy, Wimpy

but seriously seeing them side by side its really striking how much more heavy duty the Yugo is. The Yugo rivet locations make more sense to me as well having only one in the barrel area and moving the other down and front.

Plus the fact that the Yugo looks like a much higher quality piece since the machine work is visually much better. Romy just looks sloppy and i can tell you from my recent build that had the off square trunnion that the QC at the Romy factorys leaves something to be desired.
Are Yugo barrels interchangable with Romanian barrels? Will a Yugo barrel fit in a Romanian trunnion and vice versus?
Yes. A yugo barrel will fit in a romy trunnion and vice versa
Keep in mind that the Yugo virgin front trunnion does not have the third rivet hole (and it's necessary relief) drilled and machined. So a cutout will be needed unless you want to build a non-spec Yugo AK.
