Charley is a cat 4 now with 145 mph winds and will be a direct hit on Tampa soon.

The west coast of Florida hasn't had a big bad hurricane for a looooong time and the devastation could be bad.

My Bro-inlaw and family are stuck in Orlando. They went down on vacation last Saturday and they were supposed leave tomorrow and my wife doesn't know what happened to them yet......

We have their dog still though......

Well, I live in the heart of Tampa, and according to the most recent doppler report, we dodged the big bullet! Presently, the strom is to the east of us, we should "only" get hit with about 75MPH winds. No Problem, I have sneezed with more force that that! But we are still watching, hurricanes are crazy things, you never can tell.

Well boys, I live in Wauchula, Fl., 52 miles north of where Charlie came on land. To put it bluntly, Charlie kicked our ass. Sustained winds of 145MPH+ for over 30 minutes with gusts up to 165MPH. This place looks like downtown Baghdad. Can't say enough praise for the relief workers that came in here to help.

My good friend from Scott Trucking here in georgia took 9 tandem axle dump trucks there to help with cleanup. I talked with him on saturday and he said I would not believe how bad the storm was. He also said the news has not shown the worst of the storm damage. Hope ya'll are ok.
