I have not ever seen any posts on putting a serial number and your name on your builds. Do we, as home builders have to do this??????? I have heard that that is for only the company's that are selling the guns assembled and I have also heard that we must do this also. If we do have to do it, where on the reciever do you guys put them? Ak'sr4me

You do not have to put any markings on a rifle that you actually build (i.e. from a flat, bent-blank, weld-pack, etc.).

I think however it may be a smart thing to do, in the case of a stolen weapon, etc.
