Ok so who ever ElMuertoMonkey is He seems like he is only posting in the General Discussion Lobby out of his 26 posts only one has been about guns, worst of all none have been about making or shooting Ak's Ahhhh. and most of his post have been about how much he loves being a Communist

So should we kick him out? I'm getting sick of reading his crap I think he is a troll trying to start shit

This is a lamentably difficult issue.

Granted, he is a half brained drooling idiot attempting to construct a throne using old pallets from which he can lord over what he sees as the unwashed ignorant masses needing his enlightenment. The drool and spittle from his mouth is disgusting.

But perhaps he would serve as a court jester. A sort of no holds barred target?

I see this becoming more of a problem as the other site shuts down, some of the attention seekers will inevitably come here for attention.

IMOO it is pointless to keep known trolls around as they only exist to "stir the pot" and don't really contribute.

Okay, let me see. We have a guy that everyone disagrees with. So some want him banned. I do not agree with what he says either but feel banning him is in direct opposition to the fundamnetal tennants of our supposedly free society.

We have free speech here in the US. People are supposed to be able to discuss opposing viewpoints, no matter how stupid, or hated by the masses. The better way to deal with him is to either simply ignore him and eliminate his bully pulpit, or to debate him rationally and shoot down every one of his points with facts.

So let him stay. Frankly, the insanely rabid political viewpoint does more damge to his cause than good.

You've missed the point. He's trolling on a forum. As in agitating, causing strife, or trying to stir things up. I don't understand it but some people get a perverse sense of pleasure in doing so. So-called "trolls" are not trying to validate a certain point, they usually are just trying to get a flame war started by duping people into disagreeing with each other. It won't take long for you to look around and see damage that flame wars cause on forums. Yes you are correct that simply ignoring them is the best action, but most people are quick to hit "reply" since the whole point of a discussion forum is just that.

That is distinctly different than disagreeing with someone. This isn't a question of free speech. This is a question of maintaining a certain quality standard.

Other forums would have just banned him categorically as there isn't technically free speech in a privately-owned forum, but that's another discussion

Yes, we have free speech in this country. However, this board is privately owned, even if publicly accessible. If someone comes into my house and starts shitting on the carpet, I'm gonna kick his ass to the curb. I recognize that some long time members post controversial stuff from time to time... but it's not ALL they post. This clown isn't making any useful contribution to the community.

I'm sure he'll just try to re-register, but sometimes you just got to show people that there is a limit.

Yes. He never comments back, even when someone calls him a dumbass. He talks about the south because he knows it will start a fight. If you guys want to hear stupid shit I can just post some videos from the view. He must have nothing to do other than talk about crap. There are plent of other forums where they do nothing but fight about stupid shit. Let him go there and cause problems.
