... A Cetme to go along with their FAL? I got my cetme first, then my FAL - problem is I enjoy shooting both. At least they feed from the same ammo. Only problem was last range trip I couldn't figure out if my cetme or my fal was the one denting brass (some brass in the pile was dented some wasn't). Either way I feel both are fun guns to shoot and the muzzle brake that century put on the cetme will definitely clear the person away from the next spot over. :rockin:

IMHO, it's hard to say what they'll be worth, I think a lot will not only depend on September and the AWB, but also on future availability.

Just today, after I reassembled my FAL after reparking a few parts, I was thinking to myself that something was missing.... then I realized that I need another 308 rifle. Since I already have an FAL, and most of the parts needed to build another one, I thought a little variety would be prudent. I then realized that I hadn't built a CETME yet!

So the question arises, where can I get a CETME kit? What do they cost? What would a CETME build cost me after it's completed? I usually do the assembly work myself unless it involves machining. What websites should I frequent in order to become a true CETME guru?
Here are some for you to check out - http://www.cetmerifles.com/forum/index.php or
http://www.gunboards.com/forums/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=47

Both are interesting places to read. I have some others in my favorites folder, just have to find them. :)

just bought a FN/FAL G1 kit, any suggestions on the build? I was thing of a DSArms receiver. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Jack
The DSArms receivers are nice (at least the ones I have handled have been). They are like the cadillac of FAL receivers. The Imbel receivers are nice and under $200 from FAC (174?). The coonan receivers are nice too (and count as a US part).

From what I've heard about the century assembled Cetme's, all they do is make two small tack welds to hold the rear sight on. How accurate can this be?
I'll have to look at my century built cetme when I get it out next to look at the rear sight. As for accuracy, my cetme shoots great and is accurate enough. No complaints here. :)
