You are correct - these aren't cheap.

BUT they are "authentic Soviet AKM parts". If you're like me and wanted to build something with as many "authentic" parts as possible then any time you can find "real parts" then price is worth it, and these look like they are really good shape and would require little if any refinishing to get the color "just right".

Heck I would pay extra just to not have to refinish them!

Well back in the day K-Var had some in stock. That's where I got the folder hinge for my AK-103 clone.

I saw a rumor that someone was making some here in the U.S. I have considered this as well, once I get a new mill. Should not be too hard to fabricate a few of these!

DPH Arms supposedly has a shipment of folders incoming... that will be my main source for now.

The folders should be here no later than Tuesday. The only problem is that they are all spoken for. I am placing another order as soon as these get here. There is only one source for these "NEW" Bulgarian folders and he has told me that the supply is starting to get low.
