Well, my son beat me to it. I have been looking for a .45 ACP for four years and just never pulled the trigger (pun intended).

I went to a local gun show Saturday with my son and we bought some ammo.

He went back the next day without me and picked up a new SA mil spec.
Brought it over to show off last night and it is a beauty.

I suppose he will let me try it....

Now, what should I get to one-up him?

Or use your vast amounts of expendable income to have one 'smithed out. Oh yea, you like that G.I. look. Well just buy two.

A mil spec with the new OD green finish. That is one nice gun for the money.
I have herd that you only need to replace the extractor and you will have a reliable piece. I would get a wilson combat bullet prof extractor.

My son's is the black finish. Hoping to shoot it today, but as usual, it is raining.
