I have one of these too but I have not keep watch on the price these are fetching. These sold for about $550 new, right? If so and if it is a FEG receiver gun I would think about $650 IMO.

My thoughts too. I would think in a few more years it would go up another $100. The reciver is the biggest attraction. And it being a polish kit don't hurt. I have a SSR85B. , Cheers warDawg

Appearantly they are not worth $625 shipped because I could not find a buyer at that price. Now advertised at $600 shipped with 0 interest so far.

I would say now after the ban maybe not what they cost. They are post ban rifles,an OOW receiver gun maybe $400 FEG $500 if you can sell it. The thing that deterd me from liking the model is that the 85c is built with Polish AK47 parts. 85b on the other hand you can make a great looking Polish PMKM clone out of it.

Reason I went with the C model is because of the Polish parts kit. I always read that the Polish AK is one of the nicest. IIRC the B model uses some chinese parts.

Reason I have it up for sale is because I'm wanting an AKM clone. The 85C is nice but not an AKM. May end up just keeping it...refuse to give it away. Too nice for of a rifle.

But your right. Nobody wants post-ban stuff now. Everyone wants no-ban. The one good thing about the C model is that it works with the early AK bayonet. Even though the catch was ground off, it still worked. Not sure how but it does

Don't feel bad . You have a nice rifle. You got the FEG reciver correct. The rifle is worth $600 all day long. While the AK market is flooded right now. Keep your FEG. you will be glad. A commie real deal reciver holds it's value. Unlike a OOW. IMO WarDawg

Carb850 the B models were built using the Polish AKM parts kits. You are thinking of the SSR56 model that is built with Polish parts, FEG or OOW receiver , Chinese barrel and Bulgarian stock set. If you want a real AKM clone you can buy an SAR1 and have a new Romanian barrel pressed in. The Romanian receivers are actual Romanian military receivers.

Oh yeah, I was thinking the 56 models. I'm hoping to get a Maadi ARM, they still have the threaded muzzle. Just have to change out the gas block, stock set, & US parts. Unless the 85C sells I will not be in the market for one anytime soon though.
