cough cough choke I am dieing it is just too funny ...
SORRY for any hurt feelings and to those that do not understand my typ joke. come on laugh a little.
I don't know if I fully understand either DPH. It is a bit funny though, when you see all these group buys go through at a certain price, and then Tapco turns right around and offers the items for cheaper than what we were going to get them for through the group buy. And, it always tends to be right about the time we are ready to place the group buy or it just ended. Maybe this is what he is referring to. Lets think back here on this one....
The GB where if we spent over $50 at Tapco, they would give us a 15 or 25% discount on their "smaller" items. That one ended up being a wash for various reasons, but ultimately because Tapco was going to offer most of the items at an even lower price than what we were going to get them for.
Then you had the $59.99 AMD kits. I don't think there was a group buy here on them, but Im sure there were other people who were in GB's at other boards that bought them for much more than that and then this kick ass deal came out.
Now we've got the Flat GB, that just finished and now they're on sale for $15 and you can order them directly from Tapco and not wait. This group buy was actually pretty cool because it didn't last very long, thus we wouldn't have to wait long either.
I guess if you take a step back it is pretty funny how we do all these damn group buys and then 2 weeks afterwards, Tapco cuts the prices enormously and gives an even better deal. If you don't take a step back, it can piss you off a little knowing that you could've just waited and got them for cheaper and faster. But like I said, we can't gaze into crystal balls and see this coming.
Now that I think about it, we might be able to sovle the problem with the flats. If I buy something from a clothing department or Target, they generally do a price adjustment. In the case of these, Tapco has a 30 money back guarantee. Return the flats, and then rebuy them at the cheaper price. Most places will work with you though and go ahead and give you the discount to avoid the hassle of shipping them all back and reshipping them. Maybe this can all be avoided through a simple phone call though.
