Just got my 2 59.99 AMD-65's from Tapco and they are mint. Also included were 2 mag pouches and 2 cleaning kits. Got here in 3 days. What a great company to deal with after some of the horror shows I have run into out there.

Glad to hear it. They do have great customer service and I agree with you on the kits. Excellent shape for the money. Good luck on building them.

AMD65 kit arrived yesterday and I'm pleased.
Tad bit of rust here and there but nothing sand blasting won't take care of.
All matching numbers and excellent bore.
Gave me an excuse to get a couple of $15 flats to boot.

Are you bringing them to the build on the 18th?

Fal_Shooter,

I can bring a couple, got 5 total.
555th's jig arrived a couple of days ago, I'm in the process of grinding a few more reliefs into the center part. Will try bending one flat tomorrow (centering the flat takes me quite a while though). If it turns out I'd like to use it on a AMD65 pistol build.

I am going to modify my 555th jig as follows:

1. Take all the time it takes to bend one near perfect flat.
2. Remove the bottom plate and drill two holes about 1/4 inch deep through the alignment holes in the flat.
3. Drill 1/4 hole in the flat plate over the alignment holes so I can get a probe through the bottom plate.
4. Now you will be able to put two probes in and align the flat easier. With the probes in place through the flat alignment holes snug the new flat down and take your measurements.
5. Adjust as necessary or if necessary.

That modification should speed flat alignment.
