My pick:

"Don't Change" by INXS

Basically, it's a positive song told in first person about being so satisfied with one's current partner that he doesn't want her to change anything. It's about a lost love regained.

It starts out as a synthesizer riff, supposedly stolen from Mozart, and becomes a driving rock song that just leaves you breathless. It closes the album "Shabooh Shoobah," and it's hard to imagine any other song closing an album after this song plays. Apparently, the band considers this one of their best songs as well. It was used to close their shows right up until singer Michael Hutchence's suicide in 1997. I don't know if the band really carried on after his death. I haven't heard anything about them in years.

Here are the words:

I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all directions
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark far too long

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

I found a love I had lost
It was gone far too long
Hear no evil in all directions
Execution of bitterness
Message received loud and clear

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

A 1990's punk band called Face to Face later recorded the song on their album "Standards and Practices," but the original is still the best.
