What would you get? I'm working on a Soviet themed collection but hope to also get some US guns later on. I been looking at the AR's but not sure what to go with. I like both Bushmaster and River Rock Arms. As for 16" vs 20", A2 vs A3, etc I'm not sure. Probably a 16" A3.

Yep, I just picked up a Rock River 16" A3 HBAR with the tactical carry handle and an Ace stock last week. No muzzle device yet. I'm going to wait a few months and see if I can put a Phantom FH on it in September. Since there is no real recoil muzzle brakes don't do a damn thing to these guns except add weight to the end of the barrel and make a lot of noise. I haven't had a chance to get to the range yet, but it's a nice combo. Very light and handy. Of course I'm so used to handling and shooting my FAL that this little gun seems almost like a toy compared to it. I put a $30 BSA red dot sight on the tactical rail, that should work out well I think.

I had one, I was very happy to give it back (along with the green suit that went with it ) a few years ago.

One of these days I'll get another (or something similar ) to call my very own.

I have an AR-15 Bushy. I like it, but I have to say I enjoy my AK a little better.

I havent had a AR for a while, but still retain a stock pile of mags for one..

I've been thinking of building a AR, but am waiting for sept....Cause I don't want no stinking MBs, and fixed stocks, also need a place to hang my M--16 bayonet.... :dunno:

Way to go nick!!!!!!! But i again have to agree with The SangRunR IWANT MY M-14 and that is the weapon of choose for shooters .

I didn't go to Iraq, the pistol did. I don't WANT my M14, because I've GOT my M14, pre-ban, private sale, Fed-Ord (early, all-GI parts). I hate M16's, never shot well with them, I've got a Bushmaster I built w/ Heavy Barrel, doesn't shoot well for me, but then, I never shot well w/ an AR/M16. My next project is to build an M1. I've got a good parts "kit", gonna buy a DCM receiver shortly.
