That bolt release is a good idea, I wonder if he's still selling those.

Since Bravo Company has contracted out to military agencies I'm sure the thing has to be well made so whatever it's made out of (steel, aluminum???) it is probably pretty tough.

FYI...Just received return e-mail from them. They are aluminum.

Has anyone tried this guys method of anodizing? It seems simple enough. He shows the process under how the bolt release is made.

I should of waited the 12 days so it would of been 4 years huh? I remember seeing it back then and thinking that it seemed like pretty common chemicals and equipment were used for a low cost set-up. At the time I didn't have anything to anodize so there it sat until yesterday when I was blasting my buddies well worn AR SGW preping it for a coat of black guncoat when I remembered that old post. I thought it might be nice to try anodizing it since it is an old billet receiver.
