I just wanted to ask if some people are really that stupid??? This kit went for $811.00!!!!! WTF?!?!?!?! Unless the pinhead already owns an M1 or M1A1, that's pretty damn expensive just to make a wall-hanger. I know Class III owners need replacement parts, but damn!

To make a functional rifle, he'll need a 16+" barrel ($100 from Tommygunshop.com) unless he goes SBR route ($200 for tax stamp). He'll need to make or buy a receiver ($260 for an 80% from Philadelphia Ordnance). He'd need a custom bolt with separate firing pin to fire from closed-bolt position. He'd need a striker or hammer. He can't use any of the original FCG parts because of the select fire (could modify selector to only work in semi-auto though). The wood is beat to hell too.
I guess some people have more money than brains. I guess he could sell it in 6 months and try to get some sucker to pay $1000 for it...
