With the addition of the CZ 40P I got a few weeks ago, I decided that I really love it.. So that added my Glock 17 to the Trade pile.. You know that pile, ok to keep it, trade it if you want....


Well I stopped by the funshop and saw this baby..

It is a older model 686, pre-saftey lock.. I really wanted a newer one because they come drilled and tapped for a mount, BUT I like older Smith's without the lock.. So I really scored with this one.. It has been drilled and tapped just like the new Smiths, but it aint got no lock..

I kinda took a beating, I traded my Glock even. He wanted $450 for this, plus tax... I think I could have sold the Glock for more, but I really wanted this gun, and was broke...

Hopefully the rain will stop long enough to shoot soon....

I was never realy a Glock fan.. I just liked those 17 rounders.. In a month or so I will get a Springfield XD-9 to replace the Glock.. The Glock was ok, but I love the XD pistols, and this Smith..

The Smith has a trigger job and spring kit.. Has a nice short probabbly bout 3 pound pull in single action..

Glocks are like any thing else. There are Ford guys and there are Chevy guys, you know what I mean. Sometimes brand or manufacturer loyality is a little irrational but it all gives us something to get behind. Now for the only true work of art and engineering....HARLEY DAVIDSON.
