There is a school in Russia where about 3 to 4 hundred teachers and children are being held hostage by several armed Chechen Rebels. I sincerely hope that the innocent people are freed, unharmed, but I sadly have my doubts. Let's hope the press doesn't hammer it to death here, if ya know what I mean...

I can't even imagine what those parents are thinking, just looking at the school, hoping thier kids are alright, in the hands of a bunch of psycho bastards.

This has my heart wrenching as I don't have much faith that Chechen Islamic terrorists would care if they kill children or not. God, I hope I'm wrong!

I hope you are wrong, too, Sang, but... the bastards stuck children up in the windows to thwart russian special ops snipers

looks like maybe the rebels let loose about 30 people. It's a start, but still lots more inside. I saw on fox 2 large explosions, nobody could confirm whether they came from inside or outside.

Good Lord! What a mess and what a bunch of barbarians these people are!

There is no repentance for those that commit violence against children if you ask me.

I'm absolutely speechless...
I read on FOX that half of the rebels were Arab mercenaries... go figure.

It's a shame that had to happen especially with what happened before when all of the people died from the gas they tried to use to subdue the terrorists. The only good part of the story is in red below. If that would have happened here the citizens that brought their guns to help would be going to prison.

"As hostages took their chance to flee, the militants opened fire on them, and security forces ? along with town residents who had brought their own weapons ? opened covering fire to help the hostages escape. Commandos stormed into the building and secured it, then chased fleeing militants in the town, with shooting lasting for 10 hours."
