Treasonous Confederacy?

Why does the United States honor the treasonous Confederacy?

There are four large monuments to Confederate members honored in Washington DC our nation's capital. Three generals and the leader of the rebellious Confederate States. There is a statue of Confederate general Albert Pike in Judiciary Square and statues of Robert E. Lee, Joseph Wheeler and Jefferson Davis are all in Statuary Hall in the US Capitol. Lee is actually wearing his military uniform as is Wheeler with a big old CSA belt buckle.

Would the country be better off if Lee and Davis had just been hanged?

Along with the other politicians and generals from the south.

Like most liberals, he has some mistaken notion that anyone who is conservative is automatically a Southern red-neck gun-totin, Bible-thumpin', beer chuggin' NASCAR fan. He's probably also considering how to stir up some animosity, thus proving his point (at least to his own misbegotten sense of self-worth and self-righteous smug know-it-all superiority).

Sorry, dead monkey-brain. Not biting. First, your assumptions are totally false. Second, most gentlemen I know who frequent this board are not given to abuse someone who doesn't know better. Instead, they would (if you would give them half a chance) attempt to educate you to correct the erroneous liberal brainwashing that you've obviously received after years of public-school liberal indoctrination. Hell, a lot of them would take you shooting to share our love of sport.

Back again?

Never mind the fact that the union vastly overstepped its boundaries and usurped what amounted to a separate but sovereign nation, some of the guys in the pics above are some of the most effective, efficient government employees the union had ever seen (until the war). Surely Monkey love can appreciate that.

I'll second the above, and I agree the man is a Troll, but he's free to leave this country or Board at any time. I think this guy need a vacation to North Korea to admire the statues there.
