What did (anyone) use to make these indents so the hammer and trigger pins fit a bit more flush to outside of reciever?

Could you use an End Mill and take a little off the outside (like coutersinking but flat) or would that take too much metal off and take from the strength of the reciever that's needed there?

Thanks!

They work just fine without the X, Y dimples.

I wouldn't remove any metal from the axis pin hole area.

I had posted concerning countersinking the axis pin heads, however, I was speaking of the weld pack; an eighth inch thick sidewall.

On standard .040 materials I agree with Max-- it would not make any sense.
