I grabbed some flat bar and put this together the other night from the plans on Pookie's PDF file. I haven't made the other parts that go inside the receiver yet to flatten the rivets, but I'll do that when I get closer to actually using it.

Make sure you harden the holes. The first one I made pushed the rivet head towards the inside of the jig and messed up the holes on the jig. I flipped it over and milled new holes and then used a torch to heat and quenched in water. I have used it a couple of times and it still needs a little fine tuning.

I wonder if using cold rolled steel would keep from having to heat treat that.... I ordered some material today to do that and to make some flat bending jigs.

I've got a 1 1/2 hp milling machine that I made that on. It sure is nice to have the tools to make all of the jigs for putting these rifles together. I may wait to finish my first build until the middle of next month though :)

FYI my website's back up... that's where the PDF came from. Still updating things, and will update more once I get my garage unpacked! :D
