With much help from Mike at ORF, the Polish Underfolder is finished. I'm going to buy a set of handguards and a pistol grip from Ironwood so I don't have to worry about parts count. This thing is SWEET to shoot and looks bad-a$$ too!

Kit from Global, OOW receiver, Tapco G2 HTS, US gas piston - rivet build.

By my count, you don't have to worry about it as-is.

1. OOW receiver,
2,3,4. Tapco G2 HTS,
5. US gas piston

I would not replace that beautiful wood and pistol grip. I would buy a follower & floorplate set from rpbusa - then you have one "extra" US part! (7 US parts total). And it will be cheaper:

Jerry, thanks for the info. The wood is in pretty good shape. I stripped the shallack junk off it, sanded lightly and applied BLO and a few coats of polyurethane. I just don't want to have to worry about followers/floor plates as I have a couple chinese drums I'd like to use with it.

The set from Ironwood is only $55 plus shipping. I should be able to match the original color pretty close.

What about a US made slant brake from Global trades? Super cheap way to add the US part.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Finish is gun-kote flat black over manganese park. I need to refinish the stock and gas tube so it matches the rest of the gun. Those metal parts are a little shinier than the rest.

I already ordered the laminate hand grips and pistol grip from Ironwood. Along with a stock-set for my Imbel FAL. I'll use this stock-set for another Polish underfolder kit I have with chewed up wood. Serial numbers don't match on that kit. I may just may a pistol out of it - haven't decided.

I gotta tell ya, the guys at Rapid Fire were a tremendous help, especially the rear trunnion drill pattern. Getting the stock together is a four handed operation. Those guys make some awesome rifles.

Anybody know of a source for Polish bayonets?
