For all who's built on weld packs, can you describe how you fabricated/installed your top rails? Thanks!

I used some 1/16 thick sheet metal from work. I am building an Ace weld pack and it has cut outs for the rails so all I did was grind a large chamfer on the receiver and the bottom of the rail and welded them on with a Tig welder. They warped a little but I will use the surface grinder to flatten it out and give it a nice finish like I did on the sides and bottom of the receiver.
Since the rails are pretty thick I used the mill to cut the rails to size for the bolt carrier.

Jay-I'm about the same as Chuck.

Milled .040 from the outside upper face of the side panals for the vertical leg to fit in and tig welded through 5 holes.

Ground it all down flat when finished.
