I am thinking about trading it off for something differnet because I never hardly shoot it.

I have a Glock 19, Colt 1911 new production 70 series, Ruger Mark II target model with a bull barrel.

I just don't know what I want. Do I keep it or trade for something else.

I do not like revolvers or small caliber certer fire simi autos like .25s or a .380.

I am thinking maybe a trade for another rifle or a Beretta 92.

What would you do?

My problem is that I can't bring myself to part with anything that I buy.

Custer

I collect all types of guns, and them I give them the do I real like this gun or is it just a gun in the safe that I lose interest test.

I keep the stuff I really like, then I trade or sell the stuff I don't like to get something better of the minute.

My PPK is one of them guns that I would not care if I keep or sell.

They go for about $480 new and this one is all most new in the box.
I would not know how easy it is to move one. I would sell it at a gun show or trade it in at a gunstore.

I would say I could get $400 for it easy.

For the around $400 price tag, I would get one of the following

Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 (but you already have a 1911)
Russian SKS ~ $325
Unissued Russian Makarov ~ $350

Or you could go the C&R route and get all of the following
Swiss K31 ~ $90
Mosin Nagant M44 ~ $60
German K98 Mauser $200

I have Colt 1911 and a laminated Russian SKS and I had a Makarov and did not like it that much. I was thinking about a 1903 or 1903A3 rifle.

Sounds good. How much do these run?

Once I finish my mini Soviet collection I hope to start on a US military collection. I know little to knowing about the 1903. Can you give a guy a crash coarse on them?

I know a little about them. The first ones off the line were unsafe due to unproper heat treatment.

The 03 were the rifle that gave birth to the 30 06 round.

There are a few different models and the model number tells use of the up grades the US made to them. I can't tell you all the chances but I know a few of them. The 03a3 has a rear peep sight that is great for shooters and it used a lot a stamped parts that replaced milled ones.
The 03a4 was a sniper rifle with a scope and no iron sights.

They run from $400 on up to in the thousands.

I can save save up to off set the difference in price for a good 03A3.

I would go about $400-600 for a good 03A3 when I buy one.

A little up date. I traded the PPK for a Remington Production Springfield 03A3. It has the 4 groove barrel and straight stock on it. All parts are marked R. It is in really good shape. I got it from my good friend.

I picked up a Walther PPK/S at a gun show about a month ago. .380 ACP.

NIB, made in Germany in 1976.

Shoots like a dream. I really like it. It will be my warm weather carry piece.

Do you have a CZ 75? Even though they are all steel, and so heavier than say your Berretta 92, it is a nice 9mm. It is my favorite handgun. Also they go for less than the Walther so you should get a gun and cash back.
