What color wood on Enfield#4Mk1

Hi: This is the first time I have purchased a Lee Enfield #4Mk1 & it needs a new stock which I have however I don't know if they use the same staining & finishing as we do on our rifles, linseed oil etc. does anyone know how they finish there wood? Any help would be greatful.
