I grinded the hammer down on my PMKMS in an attempt to reduce the excessive binding which was caused by me putting on the templace on an ACE blank incorrectly. (Without thinking I pulled the sides of the template up then glued it on, thereby raising all of the holes a wee bit.) So now I don't get the extreme binding, but now since the hammer is so skinny the carrier doesn't push the hammer down far enough so the disconnector won't catch it. So by fixing one problem, I've created another, potentially more deadly problem. Also I have a worthless G2 hammer and I'll have to get another compliance part instead. Grrr..... What do you guys think, should I just scrap it and get a new blank? I'd rather not ruin another perfectly good hammer attempting to salvage this blank, but I may try it with a foriegn made hammer.
