I am trying to find an EAA 45-70 double rifle.

$629 retail actually seems pretty reasonable for a double rifle, presuming it's well-made. Have you contacted them to see if they're available for sale through a FFL?

Want me to go by and see if they have any in stock? I don't think they'd mind if I scale the defenses. The razor wire shouldn't be much of a problem...... ;)

Well, I finally got an answer, they will be here in mid 2005 and marketed as Spartan by Remington. That makes no sense because they are made by Biakal of Russia.

Alas, that's come to be pretty common practice. The Stevens 411, contemporary verson of the 311, is a Russian double-barreled shotgun.
